Selvaraghavan signs Aaditi Pohankar for Santhanam

Everything involving Santhanam-Selvaraghavan project has been happening on full swing and the shoot had commenced last month. The makers were keen on getting a prominent actress to play the female lead as Selvaraghavan usual does with his movies, where heroines get a strong characterization. Finally after considering several names, Marathi actress Aaditi Pohankar has got onboard for this film. The film features musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which is based on the lines of new age love story, somewhere on the pattern of 7G Rainbow Colony.

Nayantara’s next is a Hollywood remake

With Tamil Cinema expanding the realms with top notch projects, it is getting into a bigger leap of directly acquiring the remake rights of Hollywood and foreign films. Now it looks like Nayantara’s upcoming film ‘Kolaiyudhir Kaalam’ is one among them and it is learnt from the close sources that it’s a remake of Hollywood movie ‘Hush’. In this film, the protagonist is a lady novelist with speech and hearing impairment. While she is very much perplexed to complete her novel with the ending, she meets a bizarre with a serial killer stepping into her house. The remake version, nevertheless, would feature her in a different role and not as novelist. The film is directed by Billa 2 fame Chakri Toleti and is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja’s new home banner.
