The 19th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attack in which nearly 3,000 people were killed when hijackers flew commercial airplanes into New York’s World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania is observed today.
The September 11 attacks had shaken the United States and had a huge impact globally as it was one of the most dreadful attacks ever made by the terrorist group al-Qaeda.
9/11 is the single deadliest terrorist attack in human history and the single deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of the United States, with 343 and 72 killed, respectively.
