
DMK to take out rally against Hathras rape
Condemning the Centre over the handling of Hathras rape and murder case, the DMK announced a march by its women’s wing to Raj Bhavan today.
MK Stalin also sought an inquiry headed by a Supreme Court judge to ensure justice to the victim’s family. The rally, to be led by women’s wing secretary K Kanimozhi, was being organised to urge Governor Banwarilal Purohit to reflect the sentiments to Centre, Stalin said in a statement. Appealing to the women cadre to turn up in large numbers with torches to ignite hope among the people fighting for justice across the country, Stalin said, “Union Minister Amit Shah who holds Home portfolio should answer (for the incident).”
